Myrtis Conner Phillips, 73, of Florence, died Monday, June 11, 2012 in Florence, SC. She was born February 11, 1939 in Mendenhall, MS to the late Alex Dan and Oular Aby Conner, Sr. Ms. Phillips was a member of Emmanuel Ministries in Florence, SC Myrtis was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Jonathan Derek Simmons; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Survivors include: children - Anthony Quinn of Gainesville, GA, Karen (Teddy R.) Little of Rocky Mount, NC, David L. Phillips of Florence, SC and Crystal (Billy) DeVane of Florence, SC; grandchildren - Amber (Harris) Anderson, Taylor Ann DeVane, Jacob Collins DeVane and Carolyn Pitts; brother- Lewis (Norma) Conner of Albany, GA and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Dawsey United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cain Funeral Home 512 W. Second Loop Rd.
