Myrna Garcia James, 54 of Florence, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Carolinas Hospital System after an illness. Mrs. James was born in Pangasinan, Philippines, a daughter of Evariseo Garcia and the late Encarnacion Padua Garcia. She was the Senior Beauty Advisor with Walgreens. Myrna loved crafting, fishing, playing Bingo and spending time with her grandson. Surviving are her husband of 27 years, John G. James; two daughters, Jessica A. James and Carla D. James both of Florence; a grandson, Andrew Miller of Florence; siblings, Rosanna (Jim) Elliott of Orlando, FL, Andy, Romeo, George, Cely, Gilbert, and Don Garcia all of the Philippines; her mother-in-law, Justine James of Florence; three sisters-in-law, Kathy McClellan of Florence, Beth (Tony) Cox of Raleigh, NC, and Sally (Gene) Ammons of Florence; a brother-in-law, Kenneth James of Florence; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in the chapel of Cain Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Junebugs Care, 3455 Lakeshore Drive, Florence, SC 29501. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday at the Funeral Home.
