Montee C. "Dolly" Driggers, 81, of Florence, S.C. died Saturday, August 20, 2011 in McLeod Hospice House in Florence, S.C. She was born in Florence, S.C., a daughter of the late Isaiah Ezra Cox and Ella Morris Cox. Mrs. Driggers was an active member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Summerton, S.C and served as teacher of pre-school children. She was a retired bookkeeper with A&P Food Stores in Lake City, S.C. She is predeceased by her husband Daniel M. Driggers, Jr., four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by one daughter, Gail Fruetel (Bill) and one son, Daniel M. Driggers, lll, all of Greenville, S.C.; one sister, Virginia Mack of Florence; four grandchildren, Jim Rollins (Cynthia) of Florence, Brandon Rollins ( Melissa) of Charleston, S.C.; Delaine Slusser (Drew) of Mooresville, N.C.; Travis Driggers of Greenville, S.C. and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Cain Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Florence National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 A.M. prior to the service.
