Michael John Griffin, 39, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at his residence. He was born in Florence, SC, a son of Charles Jerry Griffin, Sr. and the late Margaret Ann Gray Griffin. Michael is predeceased by his mother, an aunt, Grace DeFields, and cousins, Henry DeFields and William H. Griffin, III. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Charles and Beverly Griffin of Florence; his beloved girlfriend, Cheri Lee; brothers, Charlie (Laurie) Griffin and Robert (Beth) Griffin, both of Florence; sisters, Tanya (Gregg) Keele of Griffin, GA, Brandy (Bill) Donaldson of Jacksonville, FL, and Barbara (Jay) Dorn of Greenwood, SC; 13 nieces, 2 aunts and 3 uncles. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends following the service.
