Florence, SC Michael O. "Mickey" Collins died on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at his home in Florence, SC. He was born in Mooresville NC in 1928 to Eddie and May Collins. He was one of 9 children and is survived by his daughter Elizabeth, his sisters Shirley Collins and Florence Walker, and his brothers Frank Collins and Jack Collins. Mickey's wife Judy passed away 20 years ago. Mickey served in the U.S. Marines during WWII, he was a member and past master of Amity Lodge No. 340, A.F.M. He was also an avid hunting and field trial enthusiast. Graveside Services will be held on May 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Beulah Baptist Church in Pamplico. The family will receive guests at 9:00 a.m. in the Beulah Baptist Church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to McLeod Hospice House, The Florence Area Humane Society or Beulah Baptist Church in Pamplico, SC.
