Michael Christopher Blackburn, 45, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

Michael was born in Florence, SC a son of Darryl Blackburn and the late Dianne Andrews Blackburn. He was employed in inventory control with Performance Food Group. He played soccer at USC and still loved the game. Michael was also a master storyteller.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dianne; and his grandparents, Millard and Lela Blackburn, Letha Lea and Marie Andrews.

Surviving are his wife, Emily Tripp Blackburn; daughters, Ella Rose Blackburn and Caroline Grace Blackburn; father and step-mother, Darryl (Carla) Blackburn; brother, Kent Blackburn; sister, Sandy Blackburn (Adam) Humphries; step-sister, Amy Howell; father and mother-in-law, Charlie (Carol) Tripp; sister-in-law, Heather (David) Henderson and Aimee (John) Tiller; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A memorial service in Michael’s honor will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home.
