Florence, SC Melody Oates Stanley, 52, of Florence, SC, died on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at her residence after an illness. Melody was born in Florence, the daughter of the late Preston Heyward Oates and Nancy Fay Evans Eason. Melody is predeceased by her father; her son, Preston Stanley and a step-son, David Stanley, step-brother, Brad Tindall Oates. She is survived by her mother, Nancy Eason; her stepmother, Amanda Oates; step-sister, Monica Moore; step-brother, Ray Tindall; her aunts, Dorothy Oates and Ann Weatherford, and a very special aunt, Mamie Johnson. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff with Tri-County Hospice Care for their loving care of Melody. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014, at 3:00 PM, at Grove Hill Cemetery in Darlington, SC.
