Melissa "Missy" Beth Chapman, 54, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022.  She was born in Utica, NY, a daughter of May Grimm Chapman and the late William D. Chapman, who was a former Utica NY police officer, killed in the line of duty.

Missy held a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and was the former treasurer for All Saints Church in Florence.  She was a member of the National Honor Society.  She loved her family, enjoyed camping, fishing, socializing and loved dogs.

Surviving is her sister, Jennifer Chapman; niece, Chiara Chapman; special niece, Morgan Chapman; cousins, Chris Chapman (Debbie), Cindi Chapman Hudson (David), Michael Chapman. Lori Wells, Karyn Chapman and Timothy Chapman; uncle, Roland Grimm and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home at 5:00 PM.  Burial will take place in Holland Patent, NY.

Donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital in Springfield, MA. or to the Pulmonary Hypertensive Association.
