Mary Frances Rush Jeffords, 97, of Florence, SC, formerly of Anderson, SC passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at McLeod Hospice House. She was a daughter of the late William Walter Rush and Margaret Cornelia Marchbanks Rush. She is also predeceased by her husband, Charles Woodrow Jeffords; three sisters, Sara Lee Boggs, Julia Agnes Little and Zessie Elma Webb; and one brother, William Clark Rush. She is survived by a sister, Ruth Elizabeth Smith of Sumter, a number of nieces and nephews and a large spiritual brotherhood. Frances was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and an avid student of the Bible. She loved sharing the Bible's message of the kingdom's hope for mankind. She was very gracious, hospitable, quick witted and a gourmet cook. She was a great business woman. A memorial service will be held October 22, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall in Darlington, SC located at the intersection of 52 Bypass and Gilchrist Rd. The family will receive guests one hour prior to memorial discourse. The family would like to thank the staff at McLeod Hospice.
