Mary Ellen Miller Deas, 91, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at McLeod Medical Center.  She was born in Bluefield, WV, a daughter of the late John Henry and Ophelia Edmonds Miller.  She is also predeceased by two brothers, Ralph Miller and Richard Miller; and two sisters, Ruth Barfield and Kate Williams.

Mrs. Deas was a charter member of College Park Baptist Church and was a current member of Calvary Baptist Church.  She was retired from Sears Corporation and she loved taking care of her flowers in her yard.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Ronald Ashley Deas; her daughter, Rhonda Deas (Steve) Davidson and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home just prior to the service.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Mrs. Deas special caregivers, Marsha McFarland and Elizabeth Lockhart.
