A funeral service for Mary M. Hester, wife of Chris W. Hester, will be 2:00PM Saturday September 6, 2008 in Cain Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev Dr. Mike Gay. The family will receive friends tonight from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home and at other times at the home, 2618 Arthur Rd. Mrs. Hester will be transferred to Frank Funeral Home, Wellington, KS for a visitation Tuesday September 9, 2008 from 5:30-7:30 and a service 2:00PM Wednesday September 10. Mrs. Hester, 52, of Florence, died Thursday, September 4, 2008, at her residence. She was born September 30, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, to Margaret Foley LaFary Vondracek and the late Harold Mike LaFary. She was the property manager of Southern Pines for the past 12 years. Surviving, in addition to her husband of the home and her mother of Wellington, KS are: daughters, Jennifer (Andy) Barnes of Florence and Michelle (Clark) Chandler of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren; sister, Deeann (Amil) Lyon of Norman, OK; step-daughter, Kelsey Hester of Florence; and step-sons, Chase Hester of Florence and Eric (Deborah) King of Knoxville, TN.
