Mary Craig Evans Corder, 91, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at a local health care facility. Mrs. Corder was born on October 8, 1922 in Clarendon County, the daughter of the late Daniel Epps and Sallie Kelly Evans. Mrs. Corder graduated in 1941 from McClenaghan High and from McLeod Infirmary LPN program in 1966. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents are her husband of 71 years, Andrew Miah Corder who passed away in 2013. Surviving are 3 daughters, Sally Corder King of Florence, SC, Jeanette Corder (Jim) Stroupe and Janis Corder (Paul) Canup, both of NC; 5 grandchildren, Kenneth D. (Trudy) Canup, Scott M. King, Amie Canup, J. Cord (Pam) King and J. Kelvin (fiancé, Adrienne Snow) Stroupe; 3 great grandchildren, Megan Canup, K.C. Canup and Creighton King. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 Am on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 in the chapel of Cain Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the services. An inurnment will take place at the Florence National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to McLeod Hospice House, 1203 E. Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29506.
