Florence, SC Mary E. Cowan, 79, of Florence, SC, died on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Born in Charleston, SC, Mary was a daughter of the late William & Jessie Monogan of Charleston, SC. Mary is predeceased by, in addition to her parents, her husband, Glenn R. Cowan. Mary retired from Virginia Tech University with the Air Force ROTC division. She had called Florence home since 2008 when she relocated there to be closer to her Son and Daughter-in-law after her Husband Glenn's passing. Mary is survived by her sons, Landon (Linda) Brent of Florence and Wyman (Andrea) Brent, currently of Germany; Three grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Brent, Kelly Ashby and Glenn Brent; and four great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Cain Funeral Home in Florence.
