Martin "Marty" Land, 65, of Florence, S.C., died Friday, June 27, 2014 at his residence. He was born in New Jersey, a son of the late Garland and Erica Werth Land. Marty is survived by his wife, Patti Harper of the home; one daughter, Joanna Land McCumber (Joe) of Florence, S.C.; one son, James Page (Hannah) of Florence, S.C. and one granddaughter, Leah McCumber of Florence. He was a golfer and loved billiards and bowling. Marty was a member of the Lions Club prior to moving to Florence. He was the owner of Pee Dee D.J. Service and a member of The Association of Beach and Shag Club D.J.'s. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 4:00 P.M. at Cain Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or McLeod Hospice.
