FLORENCE, SC Martha "JoAnn" Lawson, 71, of Florence, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 in Florence, SC with the comfort of her husband and three children. She was born December 8, 1941 in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Thomas Stonewall Geiger and Elouise Coon Geiger. Mrs. Lawson was a dedicated Christian member of the Family Life Church of the Nazarene. She retired from the South Carolina Health Department. After retiring, she was a loving stay at home grandmother for all four of her grandchildren. Mrs. Lawson loved to read novels and watch wrestling anytime possible. Joann was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and a brother. Survivors include: husband James Edward "Ed" Lawson of Florence; daughters - Sharon (Brian) Rogers and Andrea Lawson both of Florence; son - Chuck (Jocelyne) Lawson of Florence; grandchildren - Brandon Bellamy, Katelyn Bellamy, Baylee Lawson and Kinsly Lawson. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Family Life Church of the Nazarene. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 27, 2013, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Cain Funeral Home.
