Marian Jane Pohlman, 92, of Florence, SC, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024.  She was born in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Hulda and Edward Christman.  She is also predeceased by her husband, Marvin A. Pohlman, two children, Susan Pohlman and Mark Pohlman; and two brothers, Vernon and Ed Christman.  Mrs. Pohlman was a bookkeeper and volunteered her skills to the Handicapped Association.  She was a member of The Lutheran Church of The Incarnate Word and worked as their financial secretary.  She was a mom who loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed crafts, sewing and bowling.

Surviving are her children; James Pohlman (Polly), Kathy Lofton and Karen Lind (Mike); five grandchildren, Kelly Borger (Bryan), Stephanie Gates (Nick), Melissa Herron (Justin), Joseph Lind and Alex Lind; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will have a memorial service at 2:30 PM on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at The Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word.  Cain Calcutt Funeral Home is honored to serve the Pohlman family.

The family wishes a special thank you to the staff at The Heritage Home of Florence for the special care given to Mrs. Pohlman.
