Margaret Tucker "Peggy" Parker, 82, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018.  She was born in Oakboro, NC, a daughter of the late Craven and Alice Tucker.  Peggy earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina and furthered her education by earning her Masters of Education from the University of South Carolina.  She retired from Johnsonville High School and was a member of Johnsonville UMC.  Peggy loved reading,  traveling and all UNC Tar Heel sports.

She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by a son, Edward Lee Parker and four sisters.

Surviving are her loving husband of  58 years, Joseph Alfred Parker, a son, Walter Allen (Allison) Parker, three grandchildren, Tyler Lee Parker, Charlotte Elizabeth Parker, and Matthew Ryan Parker, and a number of Nieces and Nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.
