Florence, SC Margaret Edwards Pitts, 67, of Florence, SC, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Myron "Ron" Pitts, her daughter, Wendy Blake (Rob) Gamble, her son, Richard Pitts, grandchildren, Blake Sansbury, Alexa Sansbury, Elijah Pitts, Allison Gamble and her great granddaughters, Giana Gamble and Amara Gamble, all of Florence, SC. Mrs. Pitts is also survived by three brothers, Johnny (Barbara) Edwards, of Chesapeake, VA, Jack (Gloria) Edwards, of Chesapeake, VA, and Tommy (Brenda) Edwards, of Moyock, NC and one sister, Lonie Rorabaugh, of Norfolk, VA, a host of nieces and nephews and a special aunt, Ella Wright, of Lady Lake, FL. Also left to cherish her memory are many friends and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ottis and Bessie Edwards, a brother, Ottis Leon Edwards, Jr. and a sister, Joyce Ann Edwards. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Orachun Sitti and the nurses and staff of McLeod Hospice House, who took wonderful care of Margaret. A memorial service will be held at College Park Baptist Church on Monday, September 9, 2013, at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to McLeod Hospice House or The American Cancer Society.
