A funeral service for Marcus Grandford Lowry, will be at 11:00 AM, Decmeber 12, 2009, at Hopewell Methodist Church Rowland, NC, conducted by Rev. Brian Keith Oxendine and Rev. Robert Mangum. Visitation will be held on Thursday 6-8 PM at Cain Funeral Home Florence, SC, and on Friday 7-9 PM at Revels Funeral Home in Pembroke, NC. Interment in Lowry Cemetery. Mr. Lowry, 28, of Florence, died December 8, 2009, at Carolina's Hospital after an extended illness. He was born July 10, 1981, in Lumberton, NC, to Mrs. Jo Ann Lowry Strickland. Marcus was preceded in death by an aunt, Christina Lowry Oxendine. He was a member of Hopewell Methodist Church, Rowland, NC. Survivors include: adoptive mother, Carol O. Lowry of Florence, SC; birth mother, Jo Ann Lowry Strickland, Rowland, NC; sisters, Courtney Neville, and Elizabeth Neville both of Rowland, NC; maternal grandmother, Barbara Jean Lowry of Rowland, NC; grandfather, Trennon P.
