Major James
Fredrick Ayers, Usaf, Ret.
March 20, 2025
Major James Fredrick Ayers, USAF Ret., 78, of Darlington, SC, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025. He was born in Charlotte, NC, a son of the late Cathryn Tarte Ayers and James Lewis Ayers. In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by two sisters, Cynthia Ayers and Tina Scholte; and a brother, James "Buck" Lewis Ayers, Jr.
James retired as a Major after serving 28 years in the US Air Force. He served in Vietnam and lived in Thailand for 3 years where he learned the language and learned how to cook the Thai food. He retired from private practice in 2018. He was certified as an EMOR and Hypno-therapist. To his family, friends, clients and associates, he was known as Fred. He believed in giving back in serving the community, his church, his clients, and all who sought his help, even if they couldn't afford it. He felt it was his calling to share his talent for guidance and healing for the betterment of others. This is the person Fred was – kind, selfless, and loved by many.
