Maggie S. McDonald, 97, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 29, 2020, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. She was preceded in death by a very special daughter in law, Stephanie Simmons of Florence, SC.  Left to cherish her love and memory are her three children; Barbara Teague of Cleveland, Texas, Peggy Fuller of Morrow, Georgia, and Ron Simmons of Florence, South Carolina; ten wonderful grandchildren, seventeen wonderful great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Also, two special families, James, Stephanie, Jessica and Russell Huffman of Mississippi, and Brian, Beverly and Luke Brogden of North Carolina. There are many church friends, Eastern Star friends, friends from her working days and her Red Hat Society group.

She was God's faithful servant, beloved mother, and a loving grandmother.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 4, 2020, at the Mount Hope Mausoleum, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19, we will be observing social distancing protocol. You may view the services live streamed on the Mt Hope Facebook page. The family requests no flowers.
