A funeral service for Lynn C. McKnight, wife of Steve McKnight, will be at 3:00PM Thursday, January 1, 2009, in Cain Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Dick Lyerly. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Memorialsmay be made to Dawsey United Methodist, Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 12461, Florence, SC 29501. Mrs. McKnight, 56, died Tuesday, December 30, 2008, in a local hospital. She was born September 13, 1952, in Florence to Charles and Barbara Poston Cox. Mrs. McKnight was a graduate of Hannah-Pamplico High School, class of 1970. She was a member of Dawsey United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Mrs. McKnight worked for Wachovia Bank 20 years, starting as a teller and retired as the Assistant Branch Manager at the Main Office. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grammie. Surviving, in addition to her husband and parents of Florence, are: daughter, Hope (Danny) Spalding; sister, Becki Smith; all of Florence; grandchildren, Jamie, Molly and Justine; step-daughter, Beth McKnight of Florence.
