Lynda Perkins Tubbs, 81, of Florence, SC passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at her residence.  Lynda was born in Atlanta, GA, a daughter of the late David Louis and Mary Elizabeth Pitts Perkins.  She graduated from McClenaghan High School and was formerly employed with C V Flowers.  She had her Real Estate License and worked for Flowers Realty.  She also worked for First Southeast Insurance and achieved her Property and Casualty Insurance License and retired from there.  She was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church.  Lynda had her pilot's license and  loved the beach, Garden City was her favorite place to be, she loved to collect jingle shells and take long walks on the beach.  Sunrises at the beach were one of her favorite things to watch.  Sea Captain's House was her favorite restaurant.  She was an avid reader with her favorite authors as Dorothy Benton Frank and Suzanna Brockman.  Pawleys Island and Return to Sullivan's Island were two of her favorite books.  She grew the most beautiful violets and avocado trees and her favorite colors were aqua and turquoise.  During the fall, she was dedicated and passionate about the University of South Carolina and Clemson football teams.  While she was younger, she loved making candles from scratch.  She cooked boiled peanuts and had great pleasure in giving them away to friends and family.  She was "most famous" for her lemon squares that everybody loved and she also loved to distribute party mix at Christmas time to all of her friends and family.

She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by a brother, David L. Perkins, with whom she was extremely close as he was truly her best friend.

Surviving is a daughter, Rochelle Patrice Tubbs(Bella Tubbs), two brothers, William Jackson "Jack" (Cheryl) Perkins and Robert L. (Sylvia) Perkins; a sister-in-law, Cebie S. Perkins; nephew, Dr. Jeb (Jennifer) Perkins and their children, Gracie, Hannah, Annelise and Rebekah, niece, Kylie Perkins (Matthew) Capdevila and their children, Jackson and Nora, nephew, Dr. William Jackson (Karina) Perkins, Jr. and their children, Susanna and Rachel, nephew, Scott (Sharon) Perkins and their children, Kelly and Erin and nephew, Todd (Christine) Perkins and their children, Katie, Lillie and Liza.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 20, 2021 in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends immediately following the services.
