Lounell Davis, 69, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House. She was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Clarence and Easter Mabel McNeil Davis.

Lounell is a 1975 graduate of Southside HS and the 1986 Salutatorian at Chris Logan School of Cosmetology. She was a lifelong member of Saint Luke AME Church where she taught the adult Sunday school class and was a member of the WMS, Stewardess, Lay Organization, Pastor's Aide Committee, Usher and Kitchen Committee. Lounell was retired from ESAB. She is survived by two brothers, Clarence (Barbara) Davis and Jerome (Mary) Davis; two sisters, Pat (Allen) Walker and Debra (Ray) Redden; six nieces, eight nephews, and a special cousin, Ruth Robinson. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Saint Luke AME Church, 539 Chinaberry Rd. Repass will follow immediately after the service at the church.
