Lorrie Ann Sawyer, 59, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in a local healthcare facility after an illness.  Lorrie was born in Latta, SC, a daughter of the late Leroy Jack Sawyer and Joyce Perritt Weber.  In 1997 she became a Certified Nursing Assistant and loved caring for her patients.  She also worked as a security guard at the Veterans' Village in Florence.  After a career in healthcare, she went to work at Lowes and found a love for helping people in the garden center.  This was because she loved gardening and planting flowers.  She loved her cats and spent most of her time caring for them since she was a little girl and was affectionally known later as the "Cat Lady".

Surviving are her step-father, Larry Weber, a sister, Tonnie Schamburek; two brothers, Jack Sawyer and Jerry (Tanya) Sawyer; two step brothers, Les Weber and Doug (Reanay) Weber; step-sister, Sharon (Greg) Fencl; many nieces and nephews, Adam, Amber and Chantel Sawyer, Brittany and Emerald Schamburek; and many other special step-nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, March 24, 2025, in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Florence Area Humane Society.
