Lillian Harper Tharp, 91, of Florence, S.C., widow of Bill Tharp, died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Carolina's Hospital System. She was born in Rocky Mount, N.C., a daughter of the late William Whitehead and Eva Southall Harper. She is survived by a daughter, Trudy Tharp of Summerville, S.C.; one grandson, John Tharp (Casey) of Advance, N.C.; two great-granddaughters, Chloe Tharp and Alydia Tharp, both of Advance, N.C.; one daughter-in-law, Maxine Tharp of Columbia, S.C.; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tharp is predeceased by her husband, a son, James Tharp, two brothers, Gidd W. Harper and Joseph P. Harper, a sister, Jessie Rae Davidson. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel directed by Cain Funeral Home.
