Leo Harold Herring, 74, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Conway, SC, a son of the late Ruby Richardson Herring and Leo Marion Herring.  In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a son, Harold James "Jamie" Herring; three brothers, Ray Herring, Danny Lee Herring and Raymond Herring; and a brother-in-law, Richard Jordan.  Harold retired from Nan Ya in May of 2020.  He loved his family, camping, trail riding and fishing.

Surviving is his loving wife of 29 years, Linda Kay Herring; five children, Terry Lee Herring (fiancée, Mirtie Anderson), Regina Herring Bach, Irvin Phillip Rogers, Jr., Rhonda Kay Howell (fiancé Brian Way), and Timothy Paul Rogers (Ashley); fourteen grandchildren, Amber Herring, Kyle Herring, Tyler Herring, Ashley Renee Herring, Jini Hannelore Rogers, Mason Bach, Kalyn McKenzie Bach, Jessica Bach, Justin Reed Howell, Blake Andrew Howell, Parker Dean Howell, Kaylen Hope Rogers, Reece Elizabeth Rogers and Pierson Paul Rogers; two great-grandchildren, Hudson Cantey and Colson Cantey; sister, Louise Jordan; two brothers, Leon Herring and Ronald Herring; a number of special nieces and nephews; and his canine companions, Bella, Tinkerbell and Sophie.

A funeral service, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Effingham Church of God with burial to follow in the Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM at the church just prior to the service.
