Laura K. Shook Schark, 57, of Darlington, died Sunday, November 6, 2011 in Florence, SC. She was born April 17, 1954 in Burke, NC to Clyde and Marie Moore Shook, Jr. Laura spent many years as a registered nurse by trade, and assisted many patients & families. She had been employeed by Florence General Hospital, Carolina Pines Hospital, Carolina Hospital System, and for Dr. O. Sitti & Associates throughout her career. Laura was a friend to many and loved by all. She was a beloved wife to Steven Schark of Darlington, and is survived by; daughter - Michele Anthony of Hickory, NC; grandchildren - Keanu Owens of Hickory, NC, and Tevin Smith of Darlington, SC; great-grandchild - John "JJ" McKnight Jr. of Darlington, SC; sisters - Elaine (Dieter) Deniffel and Rachel Wellman both of Morganton, NC, and Patricia Wright of KY; as well as several nieces and nephews.
