Larry P. Cromer, 73, of Florence, SC, died on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at McLeod Regional Medical Center. He was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Joseph Dawkins and Nancy Rae Long Cromer, Sr. He is also predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Hooten Cromer, a brother, Wayne Cromer and two sisters, Barbara Bowling and Linda Clayton. Larry worked for the Merita Bread Company in Florence for 27 years. He loved fishing and hunting and the Atlanta Braves. He is survived by his son, Darrell G. Cromer; stepson, Danny T. Collins; grandchildren, Stacy Cromer, Melissa Cromer and Jason Lane, all of Florence, SC; sisters, Jane Harrell of Summerville, SC and Ellen C. Wood of Florence, SC; two brothers, Charlton (Ann) Cromer of Shreveport, LA and Joseph Dawkins Cromer, Jr., of Freeport, TX; six great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 20, 2016, at the family home-place, 1510 ½ Cromer Lane, Florence, SC 29506.
