Larry Wayne Austin, 75 of Florence died Sunday, November 5, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family and three loyal dogs.

He was born March 22, 1948 to Henry and Eula Austin. He married Patty, the love of his life in 1977. They have two daughters, Sarah and Caitlin (Billy), four grandchildren, Bailee, Austin, Rosalie, and Ronan and one great-grandchild, Nora.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Danny, and two sisters, Diane and Janice.

He ran a successful business, Austin Industrial, Inc, which he started in 1992 from the ground up. He was still working until a few days before his death. He was preparing his son-in-law, Billy Charboneau to take over and he will continue where Larry left off. He considered Billy as his son and they were wonderful friends.

Larry was a proud veteran of the US Army and served in Vietnam.  He was a kind, loving, funny, wonderful man and was respected and loved by all who knew him.

In respect for his wishes, we will not be having a service.  Cain Calcutt Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist the family.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name to the Jayne Boswell Animal Shelter in Florence would be appreciated.
