Kurt William Meier, 57, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 after a long illness.  He was born in Monroe, MI, the son of Gary Meier and the late Donna Lee Meier. In addition to his mother, he is predeceased by his uncle, Larry Meier and his aunt, Carol Meier.

Kurt was a graduate of West Florence High School and attended the Citadel.  He worked as the Senior Software Technician for Cox Automotive.  Kurt loved fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles and was a sports enthusiast.

Surviving is his father, Gary Meier; his sister, LeeAnn Meier Stricklin (Joe); two nieces, Elizabeth Grace and Mary Katherine Stricklin; two aunts, Carol Mushing and Jean Woodruff (Mark); uncle, Skip Champagne (Sherry); and his 4 legged babies, Bo, Daryl and Saki.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 3, 2022 in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
