Obituary

Kim Irwin Kinney, 67, of Marion, formerly of Florence, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Rome, Georgia, Kim was the son of the late John Irwin Kinney and Shirley Turkett Arnold. He was lovingly raised by John and Mary Kinney, who instilled in him strong values, faith, and a deep love for family.

Kim was a devoted husband, married for 45 years to the love of his life, Jeannie Martin Kinney. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, music, and unwavering support. He was a proud and caring father to three daughters: Gina (Dale) Suggs, Dottie Martin, and Kimberly Kinney. His legacy lives on through his five beloved grandchildren: Joseph Rogers, Bailey (Andie) Suggs, Ayden Nowell, Micah Kinney, and Elaina Kinney.

He is also survived by his sisters Jil Kinney (Charles) Mathews and Eve Kinney (Robert) McKinney, as well as one brother, Wyatt "Bobo" Tolson, all of whom shared in the close- knit bond of a loving family.

Kim dedicated many years of his professional life as a lineman supervisor with Pee Dee Electric Cooperative. He was respected not only for his hard work and leadership, but also for his kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need.

Music was one of Kim's greatest passions. He found joy in playing the guitar and piano, often filling his home with the sound of hymns, southern gospel, and country tunes. Singing with his family brought him true happiness and comfort.

Those who knew Kim will remember him for his warm spirit, his deep faith, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. He had a heart for others, a generous soul, and a smile that could light up any room.

Kim Irwin Kinney was truly loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
