Kevin DeWayne Penland, 49, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.  He was born in Asheville, NC, the son of Doris Lanning Penland the late Gary Lewis Penland.  In addition to his father, he is predeceased by a nephew, Nathan Tyler Foster.

Kevin was a 1992 graduate from Enka High School in North Carolina.  He was a member of the Florence Baptist Temple.  Kevin worked as the sales manager for Car Town Kia in Florence.  He loved spending time with his son, Connor.

Surviving is his mother, Doris Penland of Asheville; his son, Connor Jacob Penland of Florence; two sisters, Krista Glenn (David) and Karen Penland (Bo Walker); special friend, Ashley Janson; stepchildren, Anna Moore and Brady Moore; and his best friend, John Kelley (Lynn).

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 16, 2022 in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, a trust fund will be set up in honor of Kevin for his son, Connor.  Please contact Cain Calcutt Funeral Home or John Kelley in regards to the trust.
