Obituary

Kenneth Warren “Kenny” Eisiminger, 61, passed away after a battle with metastatic melanoma on April 15, 2026 surrounded by those who loved him.

Kenny was born on July 28, 1964 in Bremerhaven, Germany, to Army Captain Thomas I. Eisiminger, Sr. and Deanna Sue Warren Eisiminger. He was named in honor of his maternal grandfather, Kenneth “Jack” Warren, who was killed in action during World War II. As the son of a career Army officer, Kenny grew up traveling the world as an “Army brat,” living in Germany twice, as well as in California during his father’s deployments to Vietnam and Korea, he also lived in Alabama, and Maryland. These experiences shaped his outgoing personality and ability to connect with people everywhere he went.

Kenny graduated from Largo Senior High School in Prince George’s County, Maryland, where he distinguished himself as a gifted athlete. He earned multiple Most Valuable Player honors across several sports, including soccer and baseball. He continued his soccer career at Prince George’s Community College (PGCC), where he was a standout player on the 1982 National Championship team, which eventually finished in 3rd place. Kenny scored the decisive penalty kick in the previous match that propelled the Owls to the 3rd place championship game. In recognition of his exceptional performance, he was named a First Team Junior College All-American and later became just the third soccer player inducted into the PGCC Athletics Hall of Fame.

He went on to play soccer at Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina, where he earned NAIA All-Star honors. Kenny also helped establish a pipeline of talent from Maryland junior colleges to Francis Marion, paving the way for more than a dozen players to follow in his footsteps. Kenny was the Francis Marion Soccer Alumni coordinator, hosting a reunion weekend for well over a decade.

Kenny was known for his boundless energy, deep friendships, and remarkable ability to connect with others. It was often said that no matter where he traveled, he would run into someone he knew. His wide circle of friends and the love people felt for him are perhaps best symbolized by a menu item named in his honor - the “Eisiminger” chicken sandwich at Apple Annie’s Deli & Pub, a place where his presence was always felt and celebrated.

Kenny endured profound loss with the passing of his first wife, Julia “Jules” Boykin Eisiminger, but he found love again and married Amy Elizabeth Jackson on April 12, 2026. Their union was a testament to his enduring spirit and capacity for love.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amy Eisiminger; his step-children Elizabeth Anne Bainbridge (Matthew), and Evan Jackson; his mother-in-law and brother-in-law Judy Evans and Gene Evans; brothers, Thomas “Tommy” I. Eisiminger, Jr. (Becky) and Robert “Bob” E. Eisiminger (Alison); his sister, Lynne Anne Eisiminger (Terry); his niece, Genevieve “Katie” K. Eisiminger Wegener (Darren); and his nephews, Staff Sergeant Thomas I. “TIE” Eisiminger III (Casey) and Walker DeClan Eisiminger. And of course, his two Cavapoos (mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle) Blaze and Astro who would often ride with Kenny in his Jeep.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Kenny will be remembered for his warmth, his loyalty, his competitive spirit, and his extraordinary ability to bring people together. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the friendships he built, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
