Katie Louise Barnhill Cook, widow of Synan Cook, went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, January 12, 2021.  She was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late Willie Carl and Helen Vera Baker Barnhill.  She is predeceased by, in addition to her husband and parents, her beloved son-in-law, Richard Dana Doyle.

Mrs. Katie is survived by her son, Bruce Cook and his wife, Dawn Parker Cook; her daughter, Brenda Cook Doyle; four grandchildren, Eric D. Doyle, Matthew A. Cook (Brittany), David J. Doyle and Rachel Cook; and a great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Cook.

A graveside service directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 14, 2021, at Mount Hope Cemetery.  The family will speak to those in attendance following the service.
