Longs, S.C. Kathryn L. Syphrett, 83, of Longs, S.C., died Monday, May 13, 2013 at McLeod Seacoast Hospital in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. She was born in New York, N.Y., a daughter of the late Ernest and Marjorie Gordon Alexander. Kathryn loved sunny days and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, She was a loving and caring person. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Syphrett of Longs, S.C.; four children, Larry, Ronald, Leonard and Karen; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Cain Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens.
