Kathleen Sturgill, 83, of Florence, was peacefully called home on February 17, 2025 surrounded by her family.  Kathleen was born on August 11, 1941 in Buchanan County, VA.  She was happily married to her late husband, Frank, for more than 60 years.  After his passing, she lived joyfully with her daughter Sandy and Son-In-Law, Roger.

Kathleen dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for all who entered.  If you came to her home, you were sure to find your favorite snacks and drinks waiting in the kitchen.  Nothing made her happier than seeing you enjoy your favorites - whether that was cornbread and milk or a Little Debbie snack cake, she had it all!  Kathleen got her greatest enjoyment these last few years during Wednesday night family dinners and shopping excursions with Sandy.

Kathleen is survived by her son: Dale (Dorie) Sturgill and 2 daughters: Sandra (Roger) Wooddell and Deborah (Randy) Bostic, 1 brother, Denver, 6 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great Great-Granddaughter:  She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, her parents, 2 brothers, Joe and Ron Keith, and her grandson, Jacob.

A memorial ceremony will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Cain-Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive family and friends from 5-6 pm prior to the services.  Cremation services are entrusted to Cain-Calcutt Funeral Home.
