Katherine Ann Ingram Putnam, 87, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 in the McLeod Hospice House. Ms. Putnam was born in Florence, SC, a daughter of the late Ivey Isaac and Dezzie Courtney Ingram. She was a member and former choir director of Effingham Presbyterian Church until her decline in health. Ms. Putnam was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Leonora #30, where she was a past Worthy Matron in 1976. She was employed with Palmetto Tire Company until her retirement. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband, George Putnam, Jr., two children, Michael and Benjamin Putnam and a brother, Robert Ingram. Surviving are her two sons, David Edward (Valerie) Putnam of Norwood, NC and Travis Wayne Putnam of Florence; three grandchildren, Christopher, Jason Lane, and Nicholas Wayne Putnam; two step-grandchildren, Kris and Justin Burleson; two great-grandchildren, Camden and Ayden Putnam; four step-great grandchildren, Cameron, Savannah, Addyson and Reed Burleson; and a brother, Ivey (Vonnie) Ingram. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the services. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice House.
