Karla Renee Whittington, 60, of Marion, SC, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023.  She was born in Biloxi, MS, a daughter of the late Hazel and Karl Oldfield.

Karla was a vet-tech until she became disabled.  She loved animals, flowers and gardening, and decorating her home.  She was a devout Christian and loved her family.  She lived for being a wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving is her husband of 31 years, Robert Lynn Whittington; children, Shannon Renee Barbary (Irving) and Bryan O'neal Williams (Fanta); grandchildren, Nadia Barbary, William Barbary, Bryana Williams and Jayden Williams; step-mother, Lynn Oldfield; a brother, Ricky Oldfield (Debbie); two sisters, Wendy Howell (Paul) and Tammy Jackson (Jim); a number of nieces and nephews; and her canine companions, Buster and Lance.  She is predeceased by four canine companions, Scarlett, Bella, Sophie and Scooby.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
