Karl Emil "Sonny" Myers II, 74, of Florence, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 26, 2024.  He was born in Laurens, SC, to the late Gloria Prochaska and Karl Emil Myers.  He is also predeceased by his wife, Patricia Ann Scurry Myers.  Karl served his country proudly in Vietnam with the US Army.  He was retired from Vulcraft where he was a truck driver.  He loved music, westerns, NASCAR, Coca-Cola and politics.  He enjoyed staying busy and tinkering with everything.  Karl was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Pace, Florida.

Surviving are his children, Doug Myers (Donna) and Jennifer Myers (Tony); four grandchildren, Hunter, Brittany (Travis), Camron and Leighton; a great-grandchild, Addison Ann Jackson; brother, Sammy Myers (Pauline); two sisters, Emily Kuritz (John) and Jean Windham (Jim)  ; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Florence National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
