At her request no services will be held for Julia Ida Hillyerd, widow of John Hillyerd. Her ashes will be buried with her parents in Brodheadsville, PA. Mrs. Hillyerd, 78, died Monday July 26, 2010, in a local hospital. She was born September 7, 1931 in Sciota, PA, to the late Edward and Nettie Freeman Harrison. She was also predeceased by brothers, Kenneth Altemose and Marvin Martin Altemose. Surviving are: sons, John (Michelle) Hillyerd, Jr of Pamplico, Gerald E. Shick of Ephrata, PA and Herbert (Kathy) Shick of Columbia, NJ; daughters, Pamela Miller of Florence and Christie Rollings of McBee; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Herbert Altemose and Forrest Altemose both of Hartsville, and Freeman Altemose of Stroudsburg, PA; sister, Arvilla Van Buskirk of Simpsonville, SC.
