It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Kittie Walton-Port, age 79, who departed this life on Saturday, January 3, 2026, in Florence, South Carolina. Born on September 19, 1946, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Judy was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend to many. Judy was a dedicated administrative assistant for many years, known for her exceptional organizational skills and her unwavering commitment to her work. However, her true passion lay in her love for family and friends. Judy's home was a warm and welcoming space, especially during the holidays, when she delighted in cooking for those she loved and fostering connections that brought everyone together. Her fondness for her beloved cats was a testament to her nurturing spirit, bringing joy and companionship into her daily life. A member of Calvary Baptist Church, Judy was strong in her faith.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; Emmanuel Medley Walton, Jr. and Irene Williams Walton Craft; and two brothers, Donald Walton and Billy Walton. Judy is survived by her loving spouse, Jackie Port, son Aubrey Port and daughter-in-law Eunice Port, son Chris Port and daughter-in-law Shawna Port, as well as her beloved sisters, Carolyn “Linda” Cunningham and Peggy Northam. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law Dan Cunningham, sisters-in-law, Connie and Geraldine Walton, along with countless friends and family who will remember her warmth, laughter, and generous heart. A memorial service to celebrate Judy's life will be held at Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM with the family to receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm. We invite all who knew and loved Judy to join us in honoring her memory. She will be laid to rest at Florence National Cemetery at a later date. Judy’s kind spirit and loving presence will be profoundly missed, and her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
