Joyce Causey Strickland, 81, of Lamar, SC, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.  She was born in Horry County, SC, a daughter of the late Emerson Dwight and Leo Jernigan Causey.  In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by two husbands, Floyd Peek and Kenneth Strickland; her son, Roger Peek; three brothers, Leon, Wayne and Glenn Causey; three sisters, Betty Gladue, Jackie Snipes and Carol McElveen; and five nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Stickland was a member of Southside Baptist Church and worked for over 25 years in the Southside Baptist Church Daycare.  She was a part of the Sunday school ministry for over 30 years.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Deborah Peek of Lamar and five nieces and nephews.

A graveside service directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, February 16, 2023 in the Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  The family will speak to those in attendance following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
