Joyce Ann Cagle, 68, of Effingham, S.C., died Thursday, November 13, 2014 at McLeod Hospice House after an illness. She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Herman A. and Lola Canady Grice. Joyce was a devoted wife and loving mother. She loved gardening, bird watching and crocheting. She is predeceased by her parents, a daughter, Rhonda Macon, one brother, Herman Grice, Jr., two sisters, Betty Ward and Barbara Searcy. She is survived by her husband, Howard W. Cagle of Effingham, S.C.; one son, Thomas Suggs of Darlington, S.C.; 2 daughters, Subrina (Chad) Nettles of Florence, S.C.; Genevieve (Jason) Gordon of Effingham, S.C.; three brothers, Vernon "Woody" Grice of Pamplico, S.C.; Mitchell Grice of Winston Salem, N.C.; Dale Grice of Winston Salem, N.C.; one sister, Mildred Scott of Thomasville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Kristin Brown, Natalee Gordon and Thomas Suggs. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Cain Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow directed by Cain Funeral Home.
