Caporaso
May 21, 1942 – August 5, 2014
Florence, SC Joseph Dominic Caporaso, 72, of Florence, SC, died on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at his home. Joseph was born in Elizabeth, NJ, a son of the late Michael Angelo and Susan Senichka Caporaso. Joseph is preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by the love of his life for 30 years, his wife, Mary Ann Palfi Caporaso who passed away in 1997. Joseph never really learned to live without Mary Ann and grieved for her until his own passing. Joseph started working for ESAB at the age of 18, and then transferred to Florence in 1988 from New Jersey. He currently had 54 years with ESAB as a Senior Project Engineer and was very proud of his longevity with the same company. Because of his engineering background, Joseph was known for being very meticulous and exacting in all areas of his life. He was a very loving and supportive father and grandfather who loved his family. Joseph was a humanitarian and it made him happy to help people in need. Joseph served his country in the US Army. He is survived by his daughters, Michele Caporaso of Florence, and Jolene Caporaso of Ridgeway; granddaughters, Elizabeth Caporaso of Florence, and Chelsea Kean of Charlotte, NC; sister, Margaret (Louis) Truppa of Florida; brothers, Frank (Vincentina) Caporaso of Arizona, Michael (Anna) Caporaso of New Jersey; and sister, Susan (David) Drewek of Michigan; and a number of nieces and nephews.
