A memorial service for Mr. Joseph Kershaw Beaty, husband of Valerie Barbot Beaty will be at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, December 7, 2010, in the living room of Presbyterian Home, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Carter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Presbyterian Communities, of South Carolina, Florence Home, 2350 W. Lucas St. Florence, SC 29501. Mr. Beaty, 89, died November 23, 2010, in Florence, SC. He was born October 31, 1921, in Florence, SC, to the late William Alexander and Elizabeth Rives Lang Beaty. He was predeceased by his parents, and a brother, Thomas Lang Beaty. He was retired from the United States Postal Service. Surviving in addition to his wife are: brother, William Alexander (Lillian Gibbes) Beaty Jr.; sister-in-law, Alice Bultman Beaty; brother-in-law D.C. Barbot; and a number of nieces and nephews.
