John W. Stanley, 81, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday. December 23, 2022 in the McLeod Regional Medical Center.  John was born in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Lacy Russell and Phyllis Fanelle Midkiff Stanley.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force having served during the Vietnam Era.  John was employed by Fenton, DuPont, Raytheon, Maytag and Caloric companies through the years.  He attended the Church of Christ and loved his trucks and motorcycles.

He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by a grandson, William Caleb Heitsman, a brother, William "Bill" Stanley; and a daughter in law, Crispin Stanley.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Kathyleen Lynn Stover "Kathy" Stanley; two sons, Richard Wayne Stanley and Todd Anthony (Jeannie) Stanley both of South Carolina; two daughters, Joy Hae Yung of California and Julie Ann (William) Heitsman of Virginia; a brother, Robert "Bob" (Connie) Stanley Florida; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services with Military Honors, will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to Cain Calcutt Funeral Home to assist the family with arrangements.
