John George Sabin, 70 yrs old, died at home early in the morning on October 28, 2025, after a long battle with chronic kidney failure.  He went into cardiac arrest and passed away.

John was born June 21, 1955, to his late parents, John and Thersea Sabin.  He was born in Englewood Hospital, Englewood, NJ.  He graduated from Passaic Valley High School in Little Falls, NJ in 1972.  John went to Jersey City State College where he majored in music.  His first major gig was on the road with Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.  He traveled with Frankie Valli from 1973-1976.  John played Broadway Shows in NYC and played with the Temptations and the Four Tops.

John met Rosemarie in 1980, and they were married in 1987.  He is survived by his wife Rosemarie; his daughter, Dana-Marie Harding who is 36 and her husband, Ellis Harding who is 37 years old; and his son, John St. Rocco Sabin, who is 34 years old.  John is also survived by two grandchildren, Fayth Janette Harding, who is 9 and Nicholas Alexander Harding, who is 2.

He retired in 2020, but he did continue busking on the street where he made people happy and changed their day when he was busking.

John's favorite activities were playing the saxophone, which made people happy, telling jokes, spending time with family, listening to jazz music, praying, listening to John Boy and Billy, and watching and listening to EWTN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cain Calcutt Funeral Home c/o Calcutt-Dowling Funeral Home, 512 2nd Loop Road, Florence, SC 29505 to assist the family with arrangements.

A church led Memorial Mass will be said at 11:00 AM Monday, November 10, 2025 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 113 S. Kemp Street, Florence, SC.  A reception will follow in the St. Ann Hall.
