John Austin Fore, Sr., 69, of Summerton, SC, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence after a short illness.  He was born in Jacksonville, FL, a son of Alma Edgerton Fore and the late Thomas Ellie Fore, Sr.  He is also predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Ann Elvington.

Austin was retired after 40 years from West Rock and loved drawing, hunting, fishing and was an awesome cook.  He was an avid Alabama fan and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He was an awesome brother-in-law and uncle, who loved all of his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his mother, Alma Fore; his wife, Kim Elvington Lynch; three sons, John Austin Fore, Jr., Brad Fore and Michael Lynch; two daughters, Mandi Howard and Mary Catherine Lynch; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Fore, Brooke Isgett, Emme Isgett, Houston Elvington, and Elizabeth Mapes; two sisters, Harriett Fore and Anna Fore Cribb; and one brother, Thomas Ellie (Gloria) Fore, Jr.

A graveside service, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Beulah Baptist Church in Hamer.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 on Wednesday at the funeral home.
