John Marion Carraway, 70, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.  He was born in Florence, a son of the late Elizabeth Carraway Farmer.  He is also predeceased by his step-father, Johnnie Farmer, and his brother, James Wiggins.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years and later became a member of Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church.  He loved working in his yard, making people laugh, and sports, especially the South Carolina Gamecocks.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda Coker Carraway; his daughter, Debbie Carraway, and his close friend, Jeff Brown.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 17, 2020, at Florence Memorial Gardens, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  Social distancing will be observed.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
